Community Safety

Children playing

Rainbow has been planned with the safety of your family in mind – including sidewalks, trails between houses, paths leading directly to the parks and playgrounds as well as a new section of the 20 mile Valley Trail on the Rainbow side of Highway 99 that will be open year-round that connects directly to Alpine, Meadow Park Sports Centre and Whistler Secondary School.

There are also two access points into Rainbow for the fire department, a central shopping area so limited driving is required and a new intersection with a full crosswalk & stoplights on Highway 99 for pedestrian traffic.

In the planning of Rainbow, wildlife disturbance was avoidance in the landscaping plan as well as the Bear proofing of the refuse deposit buildings.

As families move into Rainbow, we see it naturally evolving into a neighbourhood of old where families watch over families which will further enhance safety and sense of community.
